As there are rules to being a member of this forum, there are also ones regarding RolePlaying on the forum. Likewise, the Character sheet that is provided for the creation of your Character also means that you automatically accept these rules.
Of course, RolePlay is different, and for those of you reading this that are not sure of the terminology (terms) that the more advanced RolePlayers know, there are some explanations of the offence and what that offence is.
- Powerplay. Powerplay is where you control another Member's Character without their permission. This could be them merely twitching their whiskers or standing up to having that character sustain a wound or injury. It could be an illness, or even that Character killing or being killed by another cat. Whatever it is, it is not your ability to control that user's cat, so please don't do it.
- Godmod or Godmodding (G-mod). When someone Godmods, or the abbreviated word "G-Mods", they have their Character do something that isn't realistic (this includes super powers). It could be to fight in a war and kill way too many cats to be real. One cat can not kill five at one time, and should not be able to kill that many in a short amount of time anyway (through clawing and biting). They can be good at fighting, but anything higher than that must be approved of.
- Graphics. Sure, some people like to accurately describe things, like an injury or a battle, but chances are that there will be young people on this forum also. We don't want to scare them by writing about blood and excessive gore. This also goes for mating and kitting. We know how they mate and about kits, so we don't need to be reminded.
- Patience. A good RolePlay requires patience. Please wait for everybody to have a chance to RolePlay in that situation. It's only fair, because we don't want to post, leave for an hour and return to a thread where about 18 more posts have been made. Be patient and give everybody else a turn.
- Situation Awareness. Don't stray from the main point to the topic. If you're going on a Patrol to survey the Territory and check for intrusion, we don't want some user coming in with their cat to talk about pancakes or clowns. The discussion of things like pranks played on denmates is fine, of course, but how do the cats know about two-leg things?
- StarClan and the Warrior Code. Like all cats, you have the option of your Character abiding by or believing in StarClan and the Warrior Code. However, note that if you choose to disobey the Warrior Code, or the Medicine Cat Code if it applies to you, you are subjected to punishment by your Clan Leader (if you are caught). You can be exiled for serious crimes, such as mutiny or murder.
